Chapter 18
Rinsing the shampoo from my hair, I try not to focus on the fact that tomorrow at this time I’ll most likely be on a plane to Boston. I’m failing...miserably. Gray was excited when I sent her my flight information. Cal, Harry and I will be sharing one of the jets. Niall and Liam are returning to London in the other. Louis will remain with his family in Dubai for a few days. The jet will refuel in Boston; Harry and Cal will then make their way to Los Angeles.
The thought that I’ll have to actually say goodbye to him hits me hard. Placing my hand on the wall of the shower, I lay my head against it. There’s a few knocks on the bathroom door.
“Rebekah?” Harry calls from the bedroom.
I sniffle quietly, “Yeah?”
“Nialler rang...he wants to know if we want to come down for some drinks to celebrate the end of this leg of the tour. What do you think?” He asks through a crack in the door.
“Um...sure,” I say before letting the water from the shower rinse away the tears.
“Are you alright?”
“Yeah, I’m good. I’ll be out in a few,” I say faking happiness. The door closes allowing me to continue to cry alone. I don’t know what is wrong with me. I don’t cry. I’m tougher than this.
A blast of cool air hits my back. I sigh against the wall.
“I could see you in the mirror,” he says quietly.
“I got shampoo in my eyes,” I lie.
He places both hands on the shower wall, caging me in. His body is cool against mine in the small area. He places his chin on my shoulder; his right cheek against mine and whispers, “You’re a terrible fibber, Tog.”
That one simple statement sets me off. I lean into his body as I cry.
“You know I hate it when you cry,” he says wrapping his arm around my stomach holding me to him.
I nod as I run my hand up his arm; needing to know he’s really there.
“What has you upset now?” He asks. His voice is gentle. It’s not nasty, not like Mateo. I have to keep reminding myself that he IS NOT Mateo. That this isn’t a replay of that horrendous time in my life.
“24 hours from now, I’ll be in Boston,” I say laying my head back against him.
“Mm hm,” he hums against my temple.
“You’ll be in L.A.,” I reach for his other arm and pull it around me. He turns us; his back now against the shower wall. I need him closer, so I turn in his arms. The still extremely hot water hitting both of us.
“Yeah,” he places a kiss to my shoulder. “Is that what has you upset?”
I sniffle quietly and nod.
“Come with me to L.A.,” he says nuzzling into my neck.
“I can’t.”
“Why not? You said you still have a few months off. Fly to L.A. with me. You can stay at my house,” he states like it’s not a huge deal. “Come to Los Angeles with me...”
I wrap his chain around my index finger. The thought is tempting, but I need to go home. The girls will kill me if I don’t. I need to see my parents. I also need to get some perspective on whatever this is between us.
“I can’t,” I say dropping my forehead between the two sparrows on his chest. He kisses the top of my head softly before laying his against it.
“Alright...”
We stay like that; the water finally running cold. I pull away from him and step out quickly. I can’t look him in the eye. If I do, I’ll buckle.
“Tog?” He calls behind me after shutting off the water.
I wrap myself in a towel and rummage around in my toiletry bag for my comb.
“Rebekah, stop avoiding this,” his voice is stern.
“I have to. If I don’t, I’m going to lose it,” I turn towards him. “I...don’t know how I’m going to walk away from you. It’s killing me.” I answer honestly.
He closes the space between us. He crooks his index finger under my chin, “I don’t want you to go back to Boston.”
“Harry...”
“Is this it? Are you just going to walk away?” His green eyes glisten as if he’s about to cry himself. “Is this all we’re going to have? Because that’s not what I want. Not by a long shot,” he releases my chin. He steps back running his hands through his now wet curls. The frustration and anger is rolling off of him.
“I just fucking found you!” He yells at me. I startle at the sound and cower. “Jesus Christ...what did he do to you!?!?!”
Finding the strength I never had with Mat, I stand up straight, “Don’t fucking yell at me!!”
“Finally,” he says smugly. “Go on...yell at me.”
“Do you think I want this?!? Do you honestly think I want to walk off that jet tomorrow without you?” I scream at him. “We’ve been inseparable for days and as much as I tried to avoid it...you got under my skin! I don’t know how to do this with you! Do I just go home and hope and pray that you don’t find someone else? You’re going back to L.A., Harry! I have a job to go back to!” He stands in the middle of the bathroom, hands behind his back staring at me. “I don’t know how to let you go.”
“You don’t have to,” he says taking two steps toward me. “We’ll figure it out.” He reaches for me and I go willingly. He wraps his arms around me; holding me like he never wants to let go. “We’ll find a way. I promise.”
“Promise me that if this isn’t working for you...that you won’t...just go off and find someone else. You’ll be honest with me,” I say quietly into his chest.
“Hey...look at me,” he says lifting my chin again. “I promise you that if I’m not happy, I will tell you. We’ll work on this together.”
“Okay...”
“Do you still want to go down and meet everyone? We don’t have to...”
“We have one last night here. I don’t want to think about tomorrow anymore tonight,” I give him a small smile.
“I’m gonna go get dressed. I’ll meet you downstairs in a bit.” He places a soft kiss to my forehead before he leaves the room.
I turn back to the mirror and give myself a once over. I look like hell. My eyes are puffy from crying. My hair is in knots because it partially dried before I could comb it out. Stepping back into the shower, I gasp at the temperature of the water. Trying to stay out of the frigid spray, I comb a small amount of conditioner through it and rinse as fast as I can. I wrap the towel around my shoulders to warm up. After finally getting a brush through my hair, I decide to french braid it.
When I step out of the bathroom, Harry has his back to me, zipping up another pair of faded black skinny jeans. I can see the muscles in his back move as he slips his belt through the loops. I kneel on the bed and crawl my way across it. When I get to him, I reach out placing my hands on his hips before leaving a few small pecks to his back.
“You keep doing that...we’ll never make it out of this room,” he laughs as he turns toward me. “Aw...you put your hair up. I like it down.”
“Not much I could do with it,” I shrug as I give some attention to the butterfly on his skin.
“Tog...you have to stop,” he whispers. “It’s getting really hard to control myself with you.”
I look up under my lashes and smile before blowing a zerbert on his skin.
“Oh...that’s how you’re going to be,” he growls as he tries to grasp me. I try to crawl back across the bed holding my towel in place, but he quickly pins me to the mattress. “You’re playing with fire, Rebekah.”
I laugh and play with the cross around his neck, “Why don’t you ever call me Bex?”
“Everyone calls you Bex. I like calling you Rebekah,” he smiles wrapping a piece of hair that has come out of my braid around his finger. “Tog is my favorite though.”
“I like it too.” I really don’t mind Rebekah coming from his lips too. It’s cute. It always sounds like ‘Rahbecker’.
“Good...now...go get dressed or I’m gonna do something I might not regret later,” his voice is deeper than normal.
I pull gently on the chain, bringing him closer. Our lips almost touch, “Thank you.”
“For what?” his breath on my skin gives me goosebumps.
“For putting up with me. For being patient,” I say softly.
“I know you’ve been hurt. I don’t want to make things worse. I want you to do this at your own pace,” he runs his nose against mine. The motion sends chills up my spine. “You’ve got goosebumps...are you cold?”
“No...”
He does it again. I squirm beneath him. Just his breath on my skin and a rub of his nose; I find myself wanting him.
“Ahhh...why are you squirming?” He groans against my lips. “Wait...is this turning you on?” He runs his nose against mine again very slowly before he places a small kiss to the corner of my mouth. I moan a little. “Mmm...gonna have to make a mental note of that,” he laughs and pulls himself up.
“Christ on a cracker,” I squeeze my legs together and close my eyes.
“Yeah...I need to leave the room,” he says when I open my eyes. “You keep looking at me like that and we won’t make the plane either.” He swipes a black shirt off the bed and practically runs from the room.
“Yeah...Thanks. Just run away and leave me like this...DICK!.”
I can hear him laughing as he runs down the stairs. I take a few deep breaths to calm myself. I can envision a lot of nights sexually frustrated because of this boy.
After calming myself somewhat, I pull my suitcase up on to the bed. I scrounge through it looking for something suitable to wear to the bar. I don’t really feel like wearing a dress, so the few I’ve got are placed aside. I don’t really want shorts either, so I toss those aside too. That leaves jeans.
I find a pair of dark denim skinny jeans at the bottom of the bag along with a burgundy off the shoulder top. Guess it’ll have to do. After pulling on a pair of underwear and a strapless bra, I head back into the bathroom.
I’m flushed and puffy. Wonderful. I take a few minutes with a cold washcloth against my eyes before putting on some makeup. It helps, but not a ton. Finally deciding that it’s as good as it’s gonna get, I finish dressing. I look through the little jewelry I usually bring with me. If Doc was here, she’d know what to pair with this. I find a long gold chain and toss it over my head. I take one last look in the mirror before slipping my boots on.
I shove my cell phone, credit card and driver’s license into my back pockets. Not wanting to kill myself in three inch heels on a flight of stairs, I take the elevator up to the living area.
When the door opens, I can hear Harry talking with Louis in the kitchen.
“Are you absolutely sure?” He sounds upset.
“Yeah, Haz. She said I’m the only one,” Louis says quietly.
“What are you going to do?”
Louis lets out a sigh, “I’m gonna support her through this and raise my kid.”
Deciding I don’t want them to think I’m eavesdropping, I call out, “Harry? Where’d you go?”
“We’re in the kitchen, Tog!”
“Tog? What kind of a nickname is that? Tawg. Sounds like dog...you do come up with some weird shit,” Louis laughs.
I make my way in and smile, “Hi, Louis.”
“Well...well...well...what have we here, Hazza? Looking ace, Bex,” he says kissing my cheek. “You better not let this one out of your sight. Are we ready?” He takes my hand and spins me around.
“Hey...Tommo...back off,” Harry scowls pulling me away from his friend. Harry’s possessiveness makes Louis laugh. “Let’s go.”
“After you, Love,” Louis says motioning toward the door. “Might I suggest we take the fancy private lift with those killah heels.”
I press the up button on the wall and laugh at the two of them.
“Quit checking her out!”
“Oh come on...she’s fit...”
“I swear, Louis...”
“You need to learn to deal, Harold.”
“I’ll deal...” He growls.
I turn as the door opens, “Alright you two...enough.”
Louis smiles mischievously as Harry stews on the ride up.
~</3~
We make our way through the hotel to the bar, N’Dulge. The doorman stops me as I try to enter.
“This is a private party, Miss.”
“I’m with...” I say pointing behind me. When he gives me a weird look, I turn to find Harry and Louis talking in the lobby. “Excuse me.” They seem to be in some heated discussion as I walk up. I stop a few feet away.
“You need to start being responsible,” Harry says seriously.
“Harry, It’s fine. I’m just having a good time. Just let me have some fun, yeah?”
“Gentleman...the doorman won’t let me in the party,” I say crossing my arms. “Are we going in or are you two going to stand out here and argue all night?”
They both turn. Harry looks me up and down; Louis smiles.
“Let’s not keep the beautiful woman waiting. If you’re not going to escort her in, I will,” he goads Harry by offering me his arm.
“Piss off, Louis,” Harry says wrapping his arm around my waist. “He just likes to rile me up,” he mumbles as we make our way to the door. All I can do is laugh.
When we reach the doorman, Harry says “Three ships.”
“Thank you. Have a nice evening,” the doorman smiles at the three of us.
“What the hell was that?” I ask, blocking Harry after we get into the bar.
“What?’
“Three ships? You told everyone?” Anger and embarrassment are an understatement.
“Tog...we needed a password to get in. I chose three ships. What’s the big deal?” He tries taking my hand to pull me further in.
“Is everyone using it?” I stand my ground, pulling him back toward me. He pushes me back against the wall by the door. Lifting his hand, he strokes my cheek.
“No. Just me. No one else knows about what happened on the plane. Let’s just enjoy ourselves, alright?”
“Harry...”
He presses his entire body against me, “Rebekah, please,” he whispers dropping a kiss to my lips.
My body immediately responds. I squirm a little against him.
“You don’t play fair,” I whisper back.
“Just relax, have fun...” he says before stepping back. “Let’s get a drink.”
Two hours and a half a dozen shots of tequila later, I’m standing between Lottie Tomlinson and Lou. Someone has requested a karaoke machine. I have a stinking suspicion it was Liam.
He is currently giving the group his best Michael Jackson impression.
“Billy Jean is not my lover...she’s just a girl who thinks that I am the one...”
“Seriously. Karaoke. Don’t they sing enough on stage?” I ask Lottie.
“Wait until he starts doing Timberlake,” she laughs.
“Alright, Salts...what song are we doing?” Lou says flipping through a book on the table next to us.
“I’m not doing karaoke,” I moan.
“Come on, love...you only get to do experience Karaoke once or twice with One Direction. Better make the most of it,” she laughs.
“Someone needs more bevvies,” Lottie sing songs before heading off to the bar.
“Make it a damn whiskey!” I yell at Louis’ sister.
“Let’s see what Sarah and Helene do,” Lou says pulling me closer to the stage. “Everything alright now between you and the boy?”
“Pardon?”
“You and Harry...everything right as rain now? I saw you two when you walked in.”
“I...uhm...,” I can feel the heat from my embarrassment.
“Well, it certainly looked like things were alright,” she laughs. “Harold had you pinned good up against that wall.”
Lottie saves me from answering her by returning with the drinks, “H said no whiskey. Here’s a martini.”
“Damn him,” I mutter.
“Why in the world would he say you couldn’t have whiskey?” Lou asks, eyes wide.
“Guess he doesn’t like whiskey,” I comment as I search for him in the crowded room. I spot him a few tables away and raise the martini glass to him. “Shit head.”
He just smiles and nods at me.
Helene, the guys singing coach and Sarah do a sweet rendition of “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’ “ by The Righteous Brothers earning shouts and whistles from the party.
“I want to do some Lil Mix,” Lottie laughs. She’s well on her way to being completely drunk.
“You’re pissed,” Lou laughs.
“Little Mix?” I ask having no clue what they are talking about. The mix tequila and vodka has me feeling light.
“You need to vary your musical tastes, love,” Lottie says pulling me by the hand toward the songbook. Lou follows with her drink.
Lottie flips through the book and smiles, “Alright...we have Love Drunk, Wings or Black Magic.”
“How’s your singing voice, Bex?” Lou asks me taking a sip of her drink.
“She’s not bad,” the deep voice says behind me. “Going to do some singing are we, Tog?”
“Ugh..No.”
“Just have some fun,” he hands me another martini.
“I didn’t even finish the first one!”
“Figured you’d need some liquid courage,” he smirks. “I’ll be over at that table, up front...waiting.” He winks and struts away. All tight,black-jeans and harnessed boots. Christ.
“You’ve got it bad,” Lou laughs. “Black Magic it is.”
“I have no idea what that song is!!!!” I complain stomping my foot.
“Here, before you break a heel on those expensive boots,” Lottie says handing me an ear bud.
“Well, this will be fun. You’ll do great, Rebekah.”
“I have no idea what I’m doing,” I say hitting repeat on the song. Lou runs off and returns with Helene.
“Sing along with it so we know what part you’re doing,” she laughs pulling the ear buds out of the phone. The song plays loudly causing the DJ to laugh. I sing a little of the chorus. “Perrie,” Helene says smiling at the girls.
“Ace!” Lottie cheers.
We step up onto the small stage after telling the DJ what song we want. I wipe my hands on my jeans; they’re sweating profusely.
“Come on...let’s hear it then, loves!” Louis yells. The guys are all sitting front and center with Lou and Lottie’s boyfriends.
“Oh god...I cannot do this,” I whisper to Lottie and wrap her hand around my microphone.
“Rebekah, babe...here,” Liam calls to me. He approaches me with two shots. “It’s amber from the deepest bottle,” he whispers. This lovely young man has brought me whiskey. God Love him.
I down both and take a deep breath. The warmth from the whiskey settles into my chest. I feel the buzz as it hits my bloodstream.
“Thanks, Liam,” I smile handing him the glasses. He winks and walks back to the table. Harry gives him the stink eye.
The music starts and I immediately balk. It’s some dance remix. I shove the mic at Helene who promptly shoves it back into my hand and turns me back toward the screen.
“OY! DJ... the normal version, ya wankah!” Lottie yells at him.
Lou pats my butt a few times, “You’re fine, Salt.”
“I hate all three of you,” I growl as the music starts.
“All the girls on the block knocking at my door, Wanna know what it is make the boys want more,” the three sing before I even know what the hell is going on. Lottie nudges me. I watch for the words to scroll up.
“Is your lover playing on your side? Said he loves you but he ain't got time, Here's the answer ,Come and get it... At a knocked down price,” I sing as best as I can. The guys all hoot and holler.
“Hey,” Lou yells, “Full of honey just to make him sweet. Crystal balling just to help him see what he's been missin’...So come and get it while you've still got time.”
Lottie picks up a shot off the boys table as she sings, handing it to me. I down it and then realize it’s more whiskey.
Liam is gonna get a big, fat wet smooch for that...
The three laugh at me, “Take a sip of my secret potion I'll make you fall in love. For a spell that can't be broken...One drop should be enough.” They walk over to the table and start singing to the boys, “Boy, you belong to me...I got the recipe...And it's called black magic.”
Feeling a little awkward, I walk towards Harry, giving him a pleading look to help me as I sing with them. The alcohol really kicks in and I lose my inhibitions a little, “Boy, you belong to me...I got the recipe. And it's called black magic.” I dance a little in front of him.
Helene sings to Liam. He smiles that sweet boyish grin at her. He stands and twirls her around.
Feeling no pain, I grab Harry’s shirt and push him to the floor,”Get your boy on his knees
And repeat after me, say...Take a sip of my secret potion. I'll make you fall in love.”
He laughs as I tap his nose before pulling him up to dance with me. By the time the song is done, everyone is on the floor dancing. Some of us closer than others. I spend most of the time grinding on Harry’s thigh.
Half an hour later, Louis is butchering Prince’s “1999”, but we’re still dancing.
“So, Mister Styles...Will we be hearing anything from you this evening?” I whisper into his ear.
“No.”
I pull back to look at him, “Come on! I did it, which was horrendous. You sing for a living.”
“Exactly.” He smirks.
“Liam and Louis sang...” I goad him. “Well, Louis’ trying,” I laugh.
“Niall hasn’t gone up,” he counters.
“So?”
“How’s your head?” He asks out of the blue.
“My head?”
“Still buzzin?”
“Yeah,” I smile at him. “Why?”
“Okay,” he says looking around the room uncomfortably.
“What’s wrong? Why do you want to know if I’m still buzzed?”
“I was thinking about leaving,” he says staring at me. His eyes are that evergreen color again.
“We can go,” I say stepping back.
“We can stay. It’s fine,” He says pulling me back to him.
“If you want to go, we can go.”
“Not if you’re still buzzing,” he says as he looks between my eyes and my lips. He smiles at me as he chews the gum he placed in his mouth earlier. I’m confused by his whole demeanor.
He’s not mad. He’s almost a little cocky. There’s a glint in his eye, but the darker green is throwing me. The last time they were that color he...
OH!
It hits me like I’ve just run into a brick wall. Someone wants some time alone.
“What does it matter if I’m buzzed?” I wrap my arms around his neck and play with the curls on the back of his head.
“Not if you’re buzzing still...I don’t want you to do something you don’t want to do,” he says seriously.
“Maybe a little buzz is what I need...”
“There’s no way I’m touching you while you’re drunk, Rebekah.”
“But I’m not drunk...” I whisper in his ear. “I’m in control of all my faculties. I’ll even submit to a sobriety test. I’m just...feeling good.”
“No,” he says and looks somewhere off into the club again. His jaw is set like he’s angry now.
I sigh, “Okay, suit yourself. I’m leaving though. I’ll see you later.” I kiss the side of his jaw and run my hands down the front of his black silk shirt.
When I step back, he finally looks at me. I walk backwards a few feet before turning around. I kiss Liam on the cheek and give Niall a good squeeze. He’s a little upset with Harry because of the Kendall debacle. I turn back towards him as I approach Louis.
“Hello, Love,” Louis smiles when I touch his shoulder. He turns to see what I’m looking at, “You’re playing with fire there, Bex.”
“I give him until I get to the elevator,” I quip and shrug.
“Well...by the looks of the lad, I think you’re right. Have a nice night,” He says as he raises his hand. I high five him and head toward the entrance.
The doorman wishes me a good night and asks if I need a cab called. After assuring him I’m only heading to my room, I walk quickly to the elevator. I hit the button a few times.
“Three...Two...One...” I mutter to myself.
Sure enough as the elevator dings it arrival, I can hear the quick click of boots on the marble floor.
I step in and am immediately pressed against the railing in the car.
“What took you so long?” I ask as his breath fans my face.
“I’m not entirely sure we should be doing this,” he says panting slightly. I don’t know if he’s breathing heavy because he raced to get to the elevator or if he’s worked up.
“I’m not either,” I answer honestly as I pull him impossibly closer by his shirt. “We’ll see what happens.” He runs his nose up the side of my cheek causing me to stutter out a breath, “Shit.”
“You have a thing with noses,” he laughs.
“Just yours apparently,” I say as the elevator starts to move. I reach over and hit the stop button.
He smirks when the box jolts to a stop, “Love in an elevator...”
“Now you’re gonna sing???” I laugh.
Caging me in again, he takes my top lip between his two very soft, plump ones. He pulls away slightly and I try to catch my breath. His tongue teases a few times. I let out a small moan when he covers my mouth with his. I run my hands around his ribcage to his back. His tongue strokes mine gently as I run my nails down his back through the shirt.
I need to feel his skin under my hands. Deciding the silk is too much of a hindrance, I bring my right hand back around and search for the first button he’s actually clasped. It’s no surprise when I find it’s halfway down the shirt. He tries to help, but I slap his hand away. I’m suddenly very impatient as his tongue continues to swirl around in my mouth. Taking both sides in my hands, I pull the shirt open. One of the buttons hits my shoulder.
Moving the slippery material out of my way, I slowly move my hands up his chest. He pulls a deep breath in through his nose when I stroke from his neck down to the butterfly on his chest. He digs his long fingers into my braid and turns his head slightly. The kiss slows and deepens. I run one finger down the ribs on his left side. He squirms a little.
He stops me from doing it again by pulling away. I open my eyes when he untangles his hand from my hair. His hands move slowly down my arms before gripping the bottom of my shirt. He places a light peck to my lips as he stares into my eyes. He’s looking for permission. I take both of his hands in mine and start to lift the shirt.
Taking a deep breath, he asks, “Are you sure?”
“Yeah,” I nod.
The burgundy shirt is lifted over my head and tossed on the floor beside us. When I reach to remove his, he stops me.
“No, Tog,” he whispers between kisses. I try to protest, but he shuts me down by thrusting his tongue back into my mouth. He returns to kissing me in a deep and lazy fashion. I reach back into his shirt and pull him towards me; my hands planted firmly above the waistband of his boxer briefs.
The minute our skin touches, I feel safe. It’s as if my body knows this man is not going to hurt me. His skin is warm and soft against mine, yet I can feel the strength underlying all of it. My hands run along his back.
He moans into my mouth making me pull back, “What’s wrong?” Mateo never made any noises when I kissed him. I must be doing something wrong...
“Nothing is wrong...nothing...”
“Why...” I start to ask him why he moaned, but when his fingers curl into my hair again and he starts kissing down my neck, I’m done for. “Oh God...” I paw at his back, just wanting him closer.
An alarm sounds scaring me. His grip tightens.
“Mr. Greenberg...Is everything alright? We see the elevator has stopped,” the deep voice resonates through the elevator. I drop my head to his chest and try to calm down.
“Yes...,” he pants. “My apologies,” He pulls the stop button. Wrapping his arms around me as the box starts moving again, “Jesus...”
The doors open to the lounge area of the suite. He releases me and picks up my shirt.
“Come on,” he gently touches my back guiding me out.
Immediately, I walk to the bar cart. I pour a glass of whiskey, downing it before the cap is back on the bottle. I need a little help. Either I listen to my heart or my head.
“Rebekah?” Harry calls from the stairs.
“Yeah?”
“I’m sorry.” I can hear the click of his boots on the staircase.
It sounds like he feels bad about what happened in the elevator. I don’t. And his remorse is not alright with me. I secure the cap on the bottle and return it to its place. The glass goes on the kitchen counter.
When I reach the bedroom, he’s not there and neither is his bag.
Yeah...this isn’t going to work for me.
I slip off my boots, tossing the shirt into my suitcase. Removing my jeans and socks, I gather myself. I don’t call out for him. I know he’s in the second bedroom. I pad my way to the door and open it. His hair is up in a bun; shirt off, feet bare. He looks up when I let the door hit the wall.
His eyes are apologetic.
I reach up and pull the tie from my hair, releasing the braid with my fingers as I walk towards him. His hands clench when my hair falls loose against my shoulders.
I lift my hand and drag my fingers lightly along his collarbone. I let them travel across the Hebrew on his bicep and around to his shoulder blade. I place a few gentle kisses to his back and move back around to face him.
“Rebekah...” he sighs with his eyes closed.
“Shh,” I answer placing my index finger across his lips.
“But...”
“Shut up, Harry.” I reach for the always askew buckle on his belt. He reaches for my hands as I slip the black leather through it. “H.” I scold. He immediately drops his hands, clenching them into fists again. I pull the belt out fairly easily and toss it on the bed.
I take his hand in mine before turning to go back to our previously shared room. He resists. I sigh in frustration. Turning towards him, I grab the waistband of the black denim that fits him like a second skin and pull him toward me. He startles when his body hits mine. Keeping my hand between us, I kiss the center of his chest. His heart is beating rapidly.
“Please,” I whisper against his skin. He nods as he grips my wrist.
Keeping a hold of the denim, I walk us out of the room. When we approach the doorway of the other room, he gently squeezes my wrist.
“You don’t have to sleep in the other room,” I say quietly.
“I think...”
“Now who’s thinking too much?” I ask pulling him into the room with me.
“Tog...you’ve had...”
“Yes, I’ve had a few drinks. Am I stumbling over?” I release my hold on his pants. I pull my right leg up, balancing easily on one foot. “See?!? I just...I want to be with you.”
He raises his eyebrows at me.
“I’m not saying we’re going to do that!” I can feel the blush rise on my cheeks, but I don’t look away. “I just want to feel. I don’t want to think anymore. Can you help me do that?”
“I just don’t want you to regret anything,” he steps towards me.
“I already regret a lot of things. Being with you isn’t one of them...” I can see the indecision in his eyes when he approaches me. He takes my hand in his tentatively.
“Please, H. Just make me feel,” I plead softly.
“You tell me to stop. Your call,” he says dropping my hand. He unzips his pants and peels them down his legs. He steps out of them, kicking them toward my suitcase.
“Okay,” I nod grabbing his hip, bringing his body closer.
He tucks my hair behind my ear, searching for any indecision on my part. When he finds none, he leans down and kisses me softly on the cheek. He moves to my other cheek, my forehead and finally, my mouth. He’s being gentle. We continue this way for a few minutes before I need more.
My hands stroke his arms a few times before I entwine my fingers with his. I pull his arms out toward me as I move toward the bed.
“My call,” I say as I lay back on the bed. The weight of his body and warmth of his skin on mine feels different than the other night. It’s comforting and enticing at the same time. Maybe I was just too scared before.
He strokes my face gently before kissing me. Again, it’s sweet and gentle. I move my hand up his neck and into his hair. Finding the tie, I pull it out gently, rolling it onto my wrist. My fingers shake out his long curls. I open my eyes as I remove my hand; it’s trembling. Needing to ignore it, I tuck some of the strands behind his ear.
“You’re shaking,” he says against my lips.
“I’m all good,” I smile.
My eyes roll back when he moves his attention to my neck. I can feel it when he smells my skin.
“You smell amazing.” The words tickle against my skin, making me giggle. The small puff of air against my shoulder tells me he’s laughing with me. “You smell like almonds.”
“Almonds? Really?” I ask looking down at him while he mouths my collarbone.
“Mmhmm,” the hum of his response makes my stomach flip a little. I don’t think I ever felt like this with any of my high school boyfriends. Definitely not with Mateo.
“Ugh.” I groan at myself. I need to stop comparing Harry to him. Its pretty evident that I shouldn’t have ever been with him. This should have been my first experience with a man.
“What’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?” Harry says. He sounds like he’s panicking.
“You are doing everything right,” I smile.
“You’re thinking, Tog,” he growls. “Guess I better up my game.”
His hand rubs down my calf as he goes back to leaving his trace on my neck. My breath hitches when he tucks his hand under my knee, wrapping my leg around his waist. I moan a little at the feel of him between my thighs. Propping himself up on his forearms, he rolls his hips once against me.
My leg tightens around him, “Christ, Styles. Warn a girl.”
“Whoops.” He rolls his hips again with a little more force.
When I open my eyes, he’s looking at me. His eyes are back to evergreen; as he searches my face. I roll my hips in return, which causes him to growl at me. His eyes move across my torso as he lifts his hand. He softly moves his middle finger from my shoulder across my collarbone and then down the middle of my chest. When he runs it along the top of my breast, I close my eyes and sigh.
He moves his whole hand around my rib cage, placing light kisses along the top of my chest. I lift up slightly when I can feel his palm against my back. Continuing with what he’s doing, he looks up at me. I give him a small nod. I can feel his fingers grasp the back closure; unhooking it quickly. I pull my other leg out from between us and wrap it around the other side of him. He pulls the garment from my skin before pulling our bodies together. He turns us both to our sides.
He buries his face in the crook of my neck, “Christ, Tog.”
I couldn’t agree more. Feeling all of his chest against mine is driving me crazy. We’ve held each other before, but tonight it’s definitely different. There’s an underlying electric current between us. He held me naked against him after we saw Lareto, but that was to comfort me. This isn’t about soothing me.
Our hands roam freely as I find his lips again. He moans into my mouth as I use my legs to pull him harder toward me. Releasing my mouth, his lips trail down my torso. Lifting my body up the bed slightly, he takes my breast in his mouth. I can feel him hard against my core as he grinds slowly.
“H...” I moan out while his tongue works my breast. His thrusts against me pick up speed. My skins tingles; I can feel my stomach tighten.
“Fuck,” I mumble.
He releases my breast and lays more kisses on my neck. I can feel him panting against it.
“Bloody hell, Bex,” he whispers in my ear.
The fact that he calls me Bex in the midst of this tells me he’s going out of his mind too. He nibbles on the side of my neck. I call out and tighten my legs around him.
Turning me onto my back, he lays his forehead against mine. His warm breath fans my face as he moves against me. I lay my hand on the small of his back; my fingers grasping at his skin. His pace quickens. He’s just as close as I am.
“Harry!” I yell into the room. He lays his right hand against my neck and jaw.
“Tog...I’m not gonna lasts much longer. Tell me...”
My body responds to the deep rasp of his voice, “Oh Jesus...yes!!”
He groans in time with a few slow, hard thrusts before calling out, “Bex!!!!”
I giggle. Of course he’d call me Bex now.
“What?” he asks against my shoulder.
“You do realize you called me Bex twice,” I leave a kiss between the G and 1967 on his shoulder.
“I did?” He looks at me. “Shit,” he smiles at me. “Are you okay?” His eyes roam my face as he strokes my jaw with his thumb.
“I’m perfect.”
“Baby...we’re perfect,” he says against my lips softly. He kisses me deeply for a minute and then groans. “I need to move.”
I unwrap my jello legs as best as I can and turn on my side. I feel like a teenage girl again. Dry humping Harry Styles...
He sits on the edge of the bed and runs his hands through his hair, “Why do I feel about 15 again?”
“Because we just dry humped like a pair of horny teenagers too scared to actually have sex,” I laugh.
“Well, that about covers it,” he laughs with me. He slaps his hands on his knees before standing up and going into the bathroom. A moment or two later, the toilet flushes and then the water runs. He returns wrapped in one of the bath towels.
I roll off the bed and head for my suitcase. I use the washroom myself and slip the new pair of underwear I grabbed. Using the his hair tie, I pull my hair up into a bun. I wash my hands and wash my face free of make-up. My eyes are bright again.
Well DUH...an orgasm will do that, stupid.
I have to laugh at myself.
Covering my chest with my arm, I return to the bedroom. Harry’s snuggled up on his stomach with a pillow. I walk around the bed and lift the blankets. Before I can lay down, he’s reaching for me.
“Hi,” I smile softly when he opens his eyes.
“Hi,” he grins. “Come here.”
I scoot closer. He pulls me under him and wraps himself around me just like the pillow.
“Sleep, Tog. We’re going skydiving later,” he says before kissing me.
“Skydiving?!?!”
“Yes, now hush...I’m exhausted,” he laughs.
“Are you sure you’re twenty one? You should have a lot more stamina than that, Styles,” I joke.
“Well, it’s been a while,” he growls. “Go to sleep before I catch my second wind.”
“Second wind...Riiigghht,” I giggle and close my eyes.
Author note: And there we have it. A little more physical intimacy between them. Not gonna lie...I felt like a teenager writing the two of them. Lawd. Leave me your thoughts.
